The KMA offers a program of study which lasts four or five years, depending on the academic major cadets choose.[1] On graduation, cadets are awarded a bachelor's degree and are commissioned in the Royal Dutch Army or the Royal Dutch Air Force.[1] The KMA also offers a shortened officers course of one and a half years.[2] The training of the officers of the Royal Dutch Navy and the Dutch Marine Corps is mainly done by the Royal Netherlands Naval College in Den Helder. The campus is about one kilometer square.
